Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees, using the convection setting if available. Otherwise, raise oven rack to high position. Line a baking sheet with parchment and have toothpicks on hand.
Wash and dry Brussels sprouts and slice in half cross-wise. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients (except optional sesame seeds) to produce a quick marinade. Dip sprout halves in marinade and place on prepared baking sheet with all bottoms together on one side and all tops together on the other side.
Roast sprouts for 12 minutes, flip, and roast 10 minutes more or until sprouts are cooked through and slightly brown.
While sprouts are roasting, prep your fillings of choice by slicing, warming or cooking. Pre-cooked items like sausage, meatballs and baked tofu work well but made-to-order mini burgers can’t be beat. Don’t forget easy toppings like slices of cherry tomatoes, pickles and cheese, as well as classic condiments like ketchup and mustard.
When sprouts are cooked, remove pan from oven and place toppings of choice on bottom halves. Place sesame seeds in small bowl and press sprout tops onto sesame seeds to create “bun” top. Place tops on filled sliders and secure with toothpick. Enjoy!
